Ugh. Talk about post-vacation blues.
I just got back from a family trip to Amsterdam and totally fell in love with the city! If you haven’t been there, I SO recommend adding it to your list…it’s one of the few cities I’ve been to that I would move to in a heartbeat. The lifestyle is so different than the fast pace of North American life and I can totally get on board. Editing all of my photos is giving me some serious feels – I can’t wait to share more snaps from our trip (hopefully next week)!
When packing for my trip, I had no idea what to bring. I’ve been to Europe in the springtime a bunch of times, so it wasn’t necessarily an issue of not knowing what the weather would be like. I was more so lost on how I wanted to look/dress. I’ve talked this point into the ground, but I’m constantly struggling between trying to dress for trends vs. dressing like myself.

We’re already into May…how did that happen! It seems like 2017 just began, and I was just making New Year’s Resolutions (or at least doing some soul searching, which you can read about here). Yet here we are, already within reach of summer. I’ll take it, y’all.

With spring comes a new feeling of joy, don’t you think? Something about this season gives me a spring in my step (lol, spring) and makes me feel so much happier and optimistic. I like to think that I’m a pretty positive person all year round, but I’m extra bouncy when the trees start blooming and the sun is shining.

Y’all where is the time going?! I can’t believe we are already at the end of April.

Despite time flying by wayyy too fast, I’m pretty excited for the months to come – between a trip to Amsterdam in May, cottage weekend in July, Chicago in August, and all the things in between, I can’t wait for summer to start!

The past few weeks have been a whole lot of fun. I’ve spent some QT with some of my best friends, ate some really good food added some fun new looks to my closet, and I also made a major hair change…I am FEEEELIN MA SELF and don’t care who knows it!

I’ve been documenting all of these fun things on Instagram and thought I’d share them all here so that we can catch up. Hola! Welcome back to my blog! (myself included)

I hope you got outside this weekend and enjoyed the FANTASTIC summer weather!!! Seriously, it upped my mood 1000 points not having to wear a jacket. Although I did manage to binge watch the whole season of 13 Reasons Why on Netflix. My little heart was torn into a million pieces…Happy Easter?

Stef and I spent the rest of the weekend bopping between our families for Easter lunches, and on Friday we went axe throwing for my friend Brandon’s birthday.

My dirty mirror and I are back with a beauty post! We all know I’m a beauty addict…I can’t get enough! However, I think I’m done with my phase of buying every latest-and-greatest product, and sticking with what works best for my face. I’m still a sucker for something new and exciting, but I’ve tried my best to limit my Sephora trips and use what I know looks good. I’ve finally (FINALLY) come up with a routine that makes me feel like a rockstar. I know that I can mindlessly put on these products and feel put together, confident, and pretty.
